Dear Seafarers
25 June is celebrated as
DAY OF THE SEAFARER
to acknowledge the contribution of Seafarers, who continue to sail during these days of worldwide lockdown due to the Corona pandemic, Seafarers have been designated as Key Workers.
The National Maritime Day Celebrations Committee, under the aegis of Director General of Shipping - Shri Amitabh Kumar-IRS, Shri S. P.S. Jaggi - Chairman - NMDC Celebration Committee (Mumbai) & Director (Personnel & Administration), SCI, invites all seafarers to join and participate in the celebration of International Day of the Seafarers on Thursday, 25th June 2020 via the zoom platform.
The theme of this event is "Seafarers are key workers". The celebration will be from 3:00p.m - 5:00 p.m IST.
As Seafarers, do not let yourself be demoralised and permit the corona pandemic to diminish your enthusiasm. Together, we will face this pandemic, and overcome all the challenges it is bound to throw at us. Do not miss out on this day which is DEDICATED TO SEAFARERS.
